We pick them up from the hotel in Cusco. We travel southbound, passing through the Pomacanchi lagoon, arriving at Sangarara, where we will have breakfast. Then we continue to the community of Rinconada, there we begin the ascent hike, we will appreciate a lot of flora, typical fauna of the area until we reach the archaeological site of Waqrapukara. Then we walk down to Sangarara where we will have lunch, then return to the city of Cusco.


Its name comes from the Quechua waqra ‘horn’, pukara ‘strength’, means horn-shaped strength. It is an archaeological site located in the district of Acos, province of Acomayo, department of Cusco. This archaeological center is a mixture of pre-Inca and Inca construction, was built by the Qanchi ethnic group and in the Inca era was rebuilt by the Inca Wayna Khápaq.
